Felix Römer schreibt Gedichte. Das hat dazu geführt, dass er einerseits deutschsprachiger Meister im Poetry Slam war und andererseits seine Texte in verschiedensten Zusammenhängen in die Öffentlichkeit brachte. 

Nun geht Römer mal wieder neue Wege. Während der letzten Jahre und zwischen allen Restriktionen, mit denen die Kulturszene umgehen musste, arbeitete Felix Römer daran, seine Texte musikalisch zu vertonen. Zusammen mit der Band Nachtfarben um den Musiker Martin Bosch wurde das, was bereits ohnehin zur Bühne drängte, so arrangiert, dass daraus ein vielschichtiges, klangreiches und packendes Programm entstand. Jazzige Sphären sowie eingängige Pop-Linien, rhythmische Arrangements treffen Poesie und wandeln sich unversehens zu Soundscapes, durch welche Römers Verse leiten. Es entstehen Stücke, die sich maßgeschneidert um die sonore, warme Stimme Römers legen. Dabei greifen die musikalische Durchtriebenheit von Nachtfarben und die Unbefangenheit Römers perfekt ineinander. 

Nicht umsonst kommentiert Felix Lobrecht: "Ich empfehle alles, was Felix Römer macht, und wenn es jetzt auf einmal Mucke ist, dann ist es jetzt auf einmal Mucke", und Henning May sagte: "Das Beschissene an Felix` Texten ist, dass ich sie nicht geschrieben habe."

Die fünf Klang(raum)ästheten um Mastermind Martin Bosch lassen auf ihrem zweiten Album  - A I R A - tief in den Raum blicken. Flackernde Fixsterne, raumübergreifende Mondseereflektionen und flirrende Kometen tragen unser irdisches Ohr durch Traum und Zeit. A I R A - das ist pulsierende Musik unserer Zeit, die weit über den Jazz hinausgeht. Alles klingt und schwingt gegen die irdische Geometrie und während nur eines Augenaufschlags entsteht und vergeht ein mikroskopisch zirkelnder Kosmos.

M A R T I N    B O S C H

 

Martin Bosch ist ein Bassist und Komponist aus Weimar. Er studierte Lehramt Musik/Sport in Weimar und Jena mit Hauptfach E-Bass bei Daniel Bätge. Parallel dazu begann ein Jazz-Studium an der Jazzabteilung der HfM Weimar Franz Liszt bei Prof. Manfred Bründl. Währende des Studiums nahm er unter anderen Unterricht bei Decebal Badila, Mark Guiliana und Chris Morrissey. Außerhalb der Band Nachtfarben, für die er komponiert und arrangiert, ist er Bassist der Indie-Band Orph und Nica l'Hiver.

 

 

 

 

N A C H T F A R B E N

 

When the day closes and all becomes quiet, when those things in life we learned to perceive as reality – exposed by the light of sun and relieved from overbearing noise – break into memories; when they blur into ideas, cravings, visions or utopias, dipped into the twilight of our subconsciousness, filtered by the soft focus of our intuition; or whenever they reveal their very own nature for just a moment, dimly lit by the light of recognition, that’s the moment, in which those things reveal themselves to us in their night colors.

Well acquainted with the principles of Jazz and influenced by the sound of Scandinavian contemporary music, Martin Bosch (b), Clemens Litschko (dr), Jonas Timm (p) and Markus Rom (git) playfully explore the range of expressiveness their musical means have to offer. Doing that, the musicians from Weimar and Leipzig do not intend to put the spotlight on the virtuosity of the individual player. The music of Martin Bosch rather focuses on the use of simple rhythmic and harmonic nucleuses to develop complex musical entities, dissolve them, dismiss them and put them back together again in a new light. Engaged in a joint pulse the formation lets something new and innate come to life that deserves the title „groove“. A special feature is the voice of Ganna Gryniva, who doesn’t come to the fore with intense lyrics, but instead smoothly draws colorful lines onto the night sky, which remind of the gentle northern lights in a clear polar night.

Martin Bosch is bass player and composer from Weimar (D). He graduated in Music Education and sports at University of Music Weimar/Jena majoring electric bass by Daniel Bätge. At this time he studied electric bass and double bass at the Jazz-Department of the University of Music Franz Liszt Weimar by Prof. Manfred Bründl. Simultaneous he got lessons by other musicians including Decebal Badila, Mark Guiliana and Chris Morrissey. Beyond his Band 'Nachtfarben', for whom he's composing and arranging songs, he is bass player in several formations like 'Orph', an Indie band from Germany and Nica l'Hiver.
